In their first block class, this would be science, math, or reading-language arts, there is a link for you to make your appointment for parent-teacher conference. If you are unable to do so please call the school at 931-946-2442 or email your child’s first block teacher with the time that would best work for you and we will schedule you as close to that time as possible.

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS:
Middle school boys basketball tryouts will be held Monday, August 31st 3 - 4:30pm and Tuesday, September 1st at 3 - 4:30pm at the high school gym. Students who have not had temperature checked at the school will have to have their temperatures checked before being allowed into the gym. Middle School Cheerleading Try Outs will be on Tuesday, August 18th from 3:00 -5:00 in the high school auditorium. Any students in grades 6-8 that are interested in trying out can text Coach Kayla Moore at 931-316-9210 or email at kmoore1@vanburenschools.org for more information or questions.
In order to promote social distancing, students will be allowed to take a backpack with them from class to class in order to limit trips to their locker. All middle school students will need a backpack/book bag by Monday August 10th. Thank you for your help as we work together to keep our students safe and healthy.
SENIOR PAINT DAY:
This is just a friendly reminder that this Saturday, August 1st is our Senior Paint Day. Be ready with your paint, stencils, canopies, and friends and family to help! Be here early and ready to start before it gets too hot. Paint Day starts at 8:00 AM and ends at 1:00 PM. If Paint Day must be rescheduled due to rain you will receive a call/text that morning for cancellation with the make up day being the following Saturday, August 8th.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRL'S BASKETBALL TRYOUTS:

GOLF TRYOUTS:

If anyone would like to purchase a VBHS yearbook, there is a VERY limited amount still available. They will be available tomorrow, Friday June 19th from 8am- noon at the Van Buren Co. Board of Education. Cash or check made to VBHS for $70.

Joel Poston will be taking photos of all seniors as they cross the stage and accept their diploma from Mrs. Cole. These are pre-pay only. Prices and options are as follows:

Good morning,
This is a clarification for dress attire for Juniors participating in the graduation ceremony this Saturday.
The original message stated: "All juniors must wear dress/church attire. No blue jeans or work boots are allowed."
This should be clarified to state that Juniors that still have their formal prom dress/suit/tux should still wear them as they traditionally do. If you do not still have your formal wear available then other dress attire (khakis, button-ups, dresses, etc.) will be acceptable.
