Yearbooks are $60 and you may add a foil name for $6.95
Parents and Students: Student Progress Reports should have gone home with students this past Thursday, September 2, 2021. If you did not receive progress reports or have questions for your child’s teachers, please contact them via email or call the school. You can also access this information at all times on Skyward.
This coming Thursday, September 16, 2021 will be Parent Teacher Conference from 3:30-7:00 p.m. Middle School parents should have received a message yesterday with directions on how to respond to your child’s first block teacher regarding this upcoming date. High School parents do not have to have an appointment for PTC, but if you wish to have a phone conference instead of in-person, please contact your student’s teacher as soon as possible. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 is Fall Picture Day for Van Buren County Middle and High School students. This will be the picture used in the yearbook, so please make every effort to be at school. Pictures will begin at 8am for 6th grade students with other grades following sequentially.
What's Happening in Sports has been updated to reflect schedule changes.
Middle School Cheer Tryouts will be Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 3:00pm-5:00pm in the VBHS auditorium for any students grades 6, 7, & 8. Anyone trying out will need to wear shorts, tennis shoes, and wear your hair pulled up away from your face. Parents/guardians, promptly pick your child up in the back parking lot at 5:00pm. Thank you and we cannot wait to see your child for tryouts!

College applications, senior project, project graduation, and yearbooks are a few if the important items that will be discussed. Please make plans to attend.

ATTENTION SENIORS: Any Senior that would like to make a template or stencil for Paint Day may come to school on Thursday, July 29th from 8am until noon to use a projector. You must bring your own cardboard.
ATTENTION SENIORS: This is a reminder that Senior Paint Day is scheduled for Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 8:00-2:00. If you are painting a parking spot and have not paid the $25.00 fee, stop by the VBHS office before July 31. Please make sure you have all necessary supplies such as brushes, paint, painters tape, and trash bags. Items you may consider are a canopy tent and folding chairs. The only paint that can be used to ensure the painted design stays is water based exterior latex paint. The rain date for this event is Saturday, August 7, 2021. Good Afternoon! This contains several different important messages so please read it in its entirety. Middle School supply lists have been uploaded to the school website at https://www.vanburenschools.org/o/vbhs. High School teachers will communicate needed supplies to students on their first day of classes.
As you begin shopping for back to school clothes please be mindful of the dress code policy in place in the student handbook. Shorts/skirts and holes in jeans/pants CANNOT be more than 3 inches above the knee. Shirts must cover the midriff area completely. If leggings are worn they must be accompanied by a shirt/dress that appropriately covers all areas. Students found in violation of the dress code can be asked to change and/or a parent can be contacted. If you have any questions, please contact the High School office at 931-946-2442. We are looking forward to a great school year!
GOLF TRYOUTS: Any 8th through 12th grade boy or girl who is interested in trying out for golf please contact Coach Drew Roberts (droberts@vanburenschools.org). Tryouts will be Tuesday, July 27th, at 9:00 am at Fall Creek Falls Golf Course. Contact Coach Roberts ASAP, so he knows how many students are interested.
