Due to a fire alarm malfunction, Van Buren County Schools will be dismissing at 2:00 p.m. today, Monday, April 29th, 2019. Buses will be released first. PARENTS PLEASE DO NOT arrive to pick up your children until after 2:15 p.m. You will pick them up at the Aux Gym at that time.
If you are a parent/guardian of a student in our system that has benefited from the LEAPS After-School Program, please take a few moments to complete a survey by going to http://tiny.utk.edu/PARENT and using code 820 for SES and code 821 for VBHS.
Thursday, May 2—Screen-Free Activity!!! Families bring your students out to Family Reading Night at Spencer Elementary from 5:30-7:30 p.m. As always, there will be lots of reading, fun, and prizes!

Go Screen-Free this week!School-age children are at risk from excessive screen time! Children with 2 or more hours of daily screen time are more likely to have increased psychological difficulties, hyperactivity, emotional and conduct problems, as well as difficulties with peers!
Go Screen-Free this week! April 29-May 5! The more time preschool children and babies spend wit screens, the less time they spend interacting with their parents! Even when parents co-view, they spend less time talking to their children than when engaged in other activities!
