This is a reminder to all middle school & high school basketball players & cheerleaders of the upcoming banquet tomorrow (Wednesday) night. It will begin at 6:30 at Camp Clements. Please remember that parking is limited so we ask each family to come in 1 vehicle. If possible, carpooling would be very beneficial to help alleviate the parking concern.

Tobacco use rates among Tennessee youth have been decreasing over the past few years, but the use of electronic cigarettes (vapes) is on the rise. Both smoking and vaping can lead to nicotine addiction, lung damage, and other health issues. Tobacco use and vaping is especially harmful to young people because their brains are still developing. This month the Department of Health is partnering with Van Buren County Schools to educate our students about the importance of staying nicotine free by not using tobacco or e-cigarettes (vapes).

Important information regarding the Girls State Basketball Tournament:
The girls’ basketball team will play Dresden at the Murphy Center at MTSU in Murfreesboro on Thursday, March 10, at 10 am. Tickets for the State Tournament may be purchased on GoFan at the following link:

Students must submit a parental permission form and be in good standing with grades and attendance to ride the pep bus. Students who attend the game with family will need to sign in at the game with Ms. Raeanna Langford or Mrs. Marlene Delong at the Murphy Center to not be counted absent. We hope everyone can come show their support for the EAGLETTES!!
