Van Buren County Schools is currently accepting applications for the following positions for the upcoming 2024-2025 School Year. Certified Staff: Assistant Principal (SES), 5th Grade Math Teacher (SES), Special Education/Behavior Classroom Teacher (SES), CTE-Health Services Teacher (VBHS), Library/Media Specialist (VBHS), 6th Grade ELA Teacher (VBHS); Support Staff: PreK Educational Assistant (Early Bird Preschool), Behavior Classroom Assistant (SES), and Educational Assistant(s)(SES). Applications will be received by Jared Copeland, Director of Schools. Applications will be accepted until May 22, 2024, at noon or until the position is filled. Happy Graduation Season! Van Buren County Schools have three graduations coming up this week and next. Early Bird Preschool will graduate on May 10, 2024, at 8:30 AM in the VBHS Auditorium. SES Kindergarten will graduate on May 16, 2024, at 6:00 pm in the VBHS Gymnasium. VBHS Class of 2024 will graduate on May 17, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the VBHS Gymnasium.

The last day for Early Bird Preschool students to attend school for the 2024 school year will be this Friday, May 10, 2024. Preschoolers will be dismissed from school following Pre-K Graduation on May 10, 2024.
Don't Forget Next Week is Early Bird Preschool Registration. Pre-K Registration will be taking place on Monday, May 13th and Tuesday, May 14th. Please bring the following items: Birth Certificate, Proof of Residency, Proof of Income, Updated Shot Record, and Social Security Card. The child whom you are registering also must attend. Your child must be 4 years old by August 15th. A limited number of 3-year-olds (by August 15, 2024) also may register if spots are available. Please call (931)946-7378 to schedule an appointment.
VB Families and Students: The last day of afterschool for the 2024 school year will be this coming Friday, May 10, 2024. Students will need to ride the bus or be picked up at normal dismissal time starting, Monday, May 13, 2024. Thank you to all the participants in Afterschool this year, it has been a great year!

The middle school & high school basketball/cheer banquet is next Wednesday. All players were given forms at school for this event. The deadline for returning these is Friday, April 19th, but we would appreciate it if most were turned in by tomorrow. Thank you!
