Lights On Afterschool will be on Fri, Oct. 25, from 3-5 p.m. Everyone is invited to drop in to see what a day in Afterschool looks like. Nationally, Lights On Afterschool celebrates programs like ours and their important role in the lives of children, families and communities.

VBHS is hosting the first round of the HS Volleyball Regional Tournament this Monday night, October 14th! Van Buren vs. Copper Basin will be playing at 5:00 P.M. CST followed by Meigs vs. Coalfield at 6:30 P.M. CST. The doors will be open 1 hour prior to first game at 4:00 P.M. CST. No advance tickets will be sold. Admission will be $5.00. Come on out and join us to cheer on the Eaglettes!

Scan Box Tops in to give credit to your School!!! This is the new way to reward your school. If you have any questions call your child's school for help. If you have any box tops that you have clipped that are in date,you may send them into your child's school by October 28th.
Do you like to walk or run? Then, this event is for YOU! The VBHS Junior Class is sponsoring a TURKEY TROT 5K & 1-MILE FUN RUN/WALK on Saturday, November 9! See the flyer below for information! All proceeds will benefit the Class of 2021! We hope to see all you turkeys come out!

You can locate the website address by going to vanburenschools.org and clicking the “Skyward” link at the bottom of the page. You can also download the Skyward mobile app from the Apple and Google Play stores on your mobile device.
Parents and students who already have an email address in the system will receive an email with their Login ID and password. If you do not receive an email you will need to call your student’s school to obtain your login information.

The Health Dept will be here to do a FLU SHOT CLINIC for STAFF & STUDENTS on Wed, Oct. 9, in Ms. Kelly's Room #225 @ SES! Student forms are going home this week, and staff can pick up an adult form in the SES or VBHS front office. ALL FORMS must be returned by Wed, Oct. 2!

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held this Thursday, September 19th from 3:30pm-7:00pm. SES will host a Family Reading Night in the library. VBHS will host a book fair in the library, a health fair in the back lobby, and the Junior class will be selling dinner plates.
