General Information

Purpose & Philosophy

The purpose of the Early Bird Preschool is to provide a safe, stimulation environment which promotes cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development. Growth in these areas will help prepare each child for kindergarten. Attending Early Bird Preschool does not take the place of kindergarten. Kindergarten is mandated by the State of Tennessee.

    Admission Policy

The Early Bird Preschool is an inclusive Program that serves 4 year old children. Three year old children that have special needs will receive services as provided by their IEP. All children must be residents of Van Buren County and be four years old by the 15th of August. We cannot accept children that are 5 years of age unless they have an IEP.
